What is CSCS?
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is designated to the construction industry, it is a license to prove that the holder of the card, is both competent & safe to work within the industry. From the beginning of 2007, a CSCS card is essentially a passport to employment within the industry.
Do I need a CSCS Card?
You do if you have access to construction sites. Bricklayers, Carpenters, General Tradesmen, Plant Operatives, Fabricators and professional staff visiting sites all need to have a CSCS card.

How Can I get a CSCS Card?
First you need to pass the Health and Safety Test in a Test Center accredited by Construction Skills. Having passed the test, you will then need to apply for the card. For the different cards you will need proof of practical competence, usually this means having an SVQ and/or NVQ.

You will receive your Registration certificate the same day you pass your health and safety test. You no longer need to wait weeks before you can sit the Health and Safety Test – just book with us and have the test next week. If you let us organize your card, it will take 15 to 20 working days to receive your CSCS Card.
Will I get a refund if I miss my test appointment?
Quickstart UK will not issue refund for missed appointments for a Health and Safety Test; Quickstart UK will, however, offer the opportunity of a new appointment with only 35 GBP additional /rebooking/charge to the client should the client contact Quickstart UK within 5 working days before their test is due;
